MindsEye Gets Full Overview Ahead of Xbox Launch

MindsEye has captured our attention for quite some time, particularly due to its connection to Rockstar Games via lead developer Leslie Benzies. However, we’ve found it challenging to fully understand the game’s essence. Fortunately, Build a Rocket Boy has released an overview trailer that has provided some clarity.

Labeled “Introducing MindsEye,” the trailer offers our best glimpse yet at this GTA-like experience. The game’s main story centers around the risks of AI in a near-future setting, with the team describing it as “the home of infinite entertainment.” MindsEye will feature its own toolset, enabling both developers and players to create additional content, ensuring the game remains vibrant over time.

“Step into the role of Jacob Diaz, whose personal mission evolves into a widespread conspiracy involving criminal forces, an unchecked military, and a threat that endangers humanity. The trailer highlights intense action, high-stakes storytelling, and next-gen gameplay.

MindsEye also introduces Play.MindsEye, a continuous stream of developer-created content, and Build.MindsEye, a powerful tool that allows you to create your own missions and environments without any prior programming experience.”

The community-driven aspect of MindsEye reminds us of Fortnite and ROBLOX, with their focus on custom content, although GTA Online has offered similar features for some time. It will be intriguing to see if players embrace MindsEye’s community toolset and sustain the game’s momentum beyond its June 10th launch on Xbox.

Regarding the main game, while MindsEye’s overall vibe feels somewhat familiar, we’ll have to wait until June to experience it firsthand. The good news is that those eager for this GTA-like experience won’t have long to wait.
