As summer approaches, the eagerly anticipated Steam seasonal sales are just around the corner. This year’s Steam Summer Sale will begin on Thursday, June 26 and run through July 10, 2025, offering two weeks of significant discounts on a wide range of games, from indie titles to major releases. It might be wise to save some money and prepare to take advantage of these tempting offers.
The Steam Summer Sale 2025 is nearly upon us
While we bid farewell to Steam Delivery Girl earlier this year, fresh key artwork is being created by Tim Peacock to build excitement for the upcoming event. However, our focus remains on discovering which games will be featured with special deals this year.
What can we expect this time? Some popular titles from last year, such as Black Myth: Wukong and Metaphor: ReFantazio, are expected to appear with discounts. Additionally, the long-awaited Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, is a hot topic. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which has yet to drop below 20% off on Steam, might finally see a better deal during this sale.
Smaller gems from 2024, like Pacific Drive and Animal Well, are also worth keeping an eye on. Fingers crossed, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth returns with a sale or even better, a franchise-wide discount.
For this year’s releases, I’m hopeful that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Blue Prince receive price drops. It would also be great to see FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time go on offer, especially since it didn’t get an introductory discount earlier.
With about a month until the sale begins, it’s wise to hold onto your funds for now. In the meantime, explore ongoing Steam events like the Zombies vs. Vampire Fest, the Hooded Horse May Sale, or the Dragon Quest Celebration. You might find something on your wishlist already discounted.
