An upcoming Dragon Ball game will debut in late January 2026 as part of a 40th-anniversary event for the iconic franchise.
Shared via X by the series’ official anime account, the reveal will occur at Dragon Ball Genkidamasturi on January 25, 2026. The celebration, hosted at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, includes announcements, panels, and appearances by Masako Nozawa (voice of Goku), producer Akio Iyoku, and composer Hironobu Kageyama, famed for crafting legendary themes like Cha-La-Head-Cha-la and We Gotta Power.
Bandai Namco remains tight-lipped about specifics, making speculation challenging. Current titles such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO, and RPG Dragon Ball Kakarot continue to be supported alongside multiplayer experiences like The Breakers and free-to-play entries Dokkan Battle, Legends, and Gekishin Squadra.
Teasing a major reveal this far in advance suggests the project isn’t a small-scale release. Given the franchise’s active catalog, this could mark an entirely new venture aimed at honoring the memory of Akira Toriyama, the series’ creator, who passed away recently.
