GeForce NOW RTX Blackwell Upgrade Arrives Next Week, September Release Calendar Packed

This week, NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW update unveils the long-awaited RTX Blackwell deployment schedule: cloud infrastructure will transition to cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080-tier GPUs and advanced CPUs starting Wednesday, September 10.

The upgrade will occur incrementally across regions, so some users might experience delays before their local servers fully update. Beyond hardware, enhancements teased at Gamescom 2025 include Cinematic-Quality Streaming, Rivermax packet acceleration, L4S (Low Latency, Lossless, Scalable) networking, optimized racing wheel integration, and Steam’s Install-to-Play functionality—all aiming to refine visual fidelity, responsiveness, and library accessibility.

September’s game lineup promises excitement, with multiple major releases joining the platform. Launch highlights this week include METAL EDEN, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Cataclismo, Hell is Us, and Cronos: The New Dawn.

Notably, Hell is Us and Cronos: The New Dawn incorporate NVIDIA DLSS 4 Frame Multiplication. Starting next week, Ultimate-tier members connected to Blackwell-enabled servers can activate this feature. Explore our in-depth critiques of Hell is Us and Cronos: The New Dawn for gameplay insights.
