Dead Reset, an FMV Horror Game, Launches on PC and Consoles in September 2025

Wales Interactive, alongside Dark Rift Horror and Northern Film, has set September 11, 2025, as the launch date for their live-action horror game Dead Reset, arriving on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

Marking Wales Interactive’s 17th foray into FMV-driven narratives since 2016, the studio continues its genre-spanning legacy—from survival shooters to VR experiments—while returning to its horror roots. Dead Reset thrusts players into a time-loop nightmare, blending surgical tension with supernatural terror.

Players assume the role of Cole, a surgeon trapped in a recurring cycle where he must perform an emergency abdominal procedure on a cryptic patient. Each fatal failure—depicted in visceral detail—resets the gruesome scenario, forcing Cole to unravel the mystery behind his predicament.

Despite expressing interest in Nintendo’s upcoming console, Wales Interactive confirmed to Wccftech that Dead Reset won’t debut on Switch 2 at launch due to unavailable development kits. A representative noted, “Supporting the platform is a priority once access is granted,” referencing broader industry challenges in securing next-gen hardware tools.
