Xbox’s Gamescom 2025 showcase was unveiled, spotlighting 20+ titles across two days of live streams. Visitors at the event will gain exclusive access to demos of the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handhelds, as well as Hollow Knight Silksong, which debuts its first public playtest at the convention.
This marks the initial opportunity for fans to experience Hollow Knight Silksong since its 2019 announcement. Despite Team Cherry’s small-scale operations prolonging development, a 2025 launch appears imminent, with a finalized build also slated for display at an Australian museum exhibit in September.
Microsoft’s first-party studios will demo multiple projects, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Order of Giants DLC (releasing September 4, 2025), Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s metropolis expansion, and Grounded 2. While convention attendees can try these onsite, Grounded 2 becomes available via Xbox Game Pass starting tomorrow.
The digital broadcast schedule includes Day One (August 20, 6am PT) featuring ROG’s handheld devices, Grounded 2, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Day Two (August 21) shifts focus to Ninja Gaiden 4, Overwatch 2, and The Outer Worlds 2, maintaining consistent start times.
