Nacon Unveils Year 2 Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Roadmap with Taxi Missions Comeback and Community Features

Nacon has unveiled the second-year roadmap for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, outlining upcoming content across Seasons 4 through 8, with the latest season launching this Wednesday, July 23, 2025. The studio also released a developer livestream recapping the game’s evolution since its 2024 release and previewing future updates.

Season 4 introduces five fresh vehicles, a Diamond currency system, and casino-themed content alongside quality-of-life refinements. Players can now participate in a community vote to determine which mission type—Investigative, Cargo Transport, Scenic Snapshots, or Thrill Seeker—will join the game post-Season 4. Voting remains open until August 4, 2025.

October’s Season 5 marks Year 2’s formal start, bringing back taxi missions, a redesigned in-game shop, and adjustments to progression systems. Players can expect graphical enhancements via an upgraded KT Engine alongside new drivable machines. January 2026’s Season 6 integrates the community-chosen mission variant alongside routine vehicle drops and optimizations.

Season 7 (April 2026) debuts Race Hubs in Hong Kong and Ibiza, redesigned live events, and an overhauled Solar Pass. The update concludes with July 2026’s Season 8, reintroducing housing customization and property management—beloved features from earlier franchise entries—plus high-risk missions and cooperative driving modes.

Post-Year 2, developers confirmed ongoing support for Solar Crown, including potential expansions like motorcycles and aquatic vehicles to broaden the open-world experience.
