Is there duos in Elden Ring Nightreign?

Since its debut, Elden Ring Nightreign has drawn in a massive player base, all curious about one aspect: duo functionality. Considering the cooperative play in Elden Ring, enthusiasts are keen to see if this latest installment by FromSoftware includes similar team-up features.

Can You Play in Duo Mode?

Duo mode isn’t currently an option. Gamers can either venture alone or form a trio. Team up with two companions or rely on matchmaking for random allies. Even pairing with just one friend triggers the trio setup, adding an extra participant automatically.

On a positive note, the developers have announced plans for Duo Expeditions. An upcoming DLC and phased updates will introduce fresh content, including revamped Nightlord battles and the awaited two-player mode, though details on the release timeline remain scarce.

Currently, unofficial methods exist for duo play. If a third player exits, the remaining pair faces enemies scaled for three, presenting a tougher challenge.

Mods offer another route, enabling two-player sessions and balance adjustments via third-party tools and custom scalers. However, these require technical know-how for installation and aren’t officially endorsed.

While awaiting official support, players must adapt to trio dynamics or test their skills in solo runs. Additional strategies and tips can be found in our dedicated game guide.
