Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 2 Launches Monday, Adds Lagiacrus & Seregios to Hunts

Capcom’s 2025 Spotlight Showcase highlighted multiple titles from the developer’s lineup, but Monster Hunter Wilds’ newest free expansion dominated the event with extended gameplay reveals.

Arriving on June 30, 2025, Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds introduces two formidable creatures: the fan-favorite Lagiacrus and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate’s Seregios, both making their debut in the latest installment.

The studio unveiled an extended content schedule, beginning with a summer-themed event starting July 23rd and running through August 6th. Players will later face the Arch-tempered variant of Uth Duna on July 30th, offering exclusive gear and challenging missions until August 20th.

August 27th brings a collaboration with Fender, allowing hunters to customize musical instruments between expeditions. This precedes Title Update 3, scheduled for late September 2025, which promises additional gameplay enhancements.

Since its February 2025 launch, Monster Hunter Wilds has dominated sales charts, becoming both a critical and commercial triumph. Many consider it the franchise’s most polished entry to date.

In Wccftech’s analysis, Francesco De Meo praised the game as “a masterful advancement of Monster Hunter World’s foundation, potentially the series’ crowning achievement.”

For newcomers eager to explore its vast ecosystems, Monster Hunter Wilds is currently discounted during the Steam Summer Sale, marking its first price reduction this year.
