Following the latest Terraria-themed expansion, players can now ally with Zoe in their adventures. This requires fulfilling specific objectives she assigns to prove your worth.
Unique NPC companions like Zoe will journey alongside you with their creature partners once recruited. Completing her tasks unlocks this alliance permanently. The process involves multiple phases detailed below.
Locating Zoe’s Position
Travel northwest to the abandoned chapel near coordinates (62, -415). You’ll discover Zoe near the structure’s central platform without hostile encounters. Prior completion of the Rayne Syndicate Tower encounter at (111, -429) against her electric companion is mandatory.
This Level 15 ally provides early-game benefits through missions in beginner-friendly zones. Approach and interact to receive her initial task involving capturing a specific creature.
Tracking Grizzbolt
Journey to Sanctuary 1 southwest of the starting area (93, -720). Airborne mounts simplify navigation through this creature-rich zone. Prepare adequate capture spheres for multiple attempts.
Weaken the electric-type creature conventionally, though high-level trainers should utilize the Mercy Ring (unlocked at Tech Level 19) to prevent accidental KO. Crafting requires:
- 30 Metal Bars
- 20 Palladium Units
- 5 Ancient Components
After securing Grizzbolt, disable companion attacks before returning to Zoe. Present your capture to initiate subsequent objectives.
Neutralizing Alliance Operatives
Target two locations for hostile encounters: north of Zoe’s chapel or the ritual site at (-17,-294). Eliminate or capture five members, ensuring combat gear is optimized for lethal force if necessary.
Completion unlocks the final retrieval mission for Zoe’s personal artifact.
Recovering Personal Effects
Search the ruined fortress at (185, -381) to locate the weathered blanket. Returning this item completes Zoe’s recruitment requirements. Access your Palbox system to deploy her as a permanent combat ally accompanied by her signature companion.
