Base Limits & Flexibility
- Players can own up to three bases total in Dune Awakening.
- A maximum of two sub-fiefs (smaller bases) and one advanced fief (larger, expandable base) are allowed. Mixing configurations is permitted.
- Exceeding two sub-fiefs triggers an in-game error.
Sub-Fiefs vs. Advanced Fiefs
- Sub-fiefs: Low-cost, temporary bases ideal for crafting or quick setups.
- Advanced fiefs: Larger structures requiring ongoing tax payments that scale with size and upgrades.
Ownership & Management
- Abandon bases anytime by removing their console—freeing slots for new locations or layouts.
- Salvage materials from abandoned player bases if they’ve been inactive long enough, including recycling structures or looting unlocked storage.
Building Strategies
- Start small: Early-game sub-fiefs should prioritize flexibility to avoid resource loss during relocation.
- Use blueprints: Save complex designs before transitioning to permanent locations like Vermillion Gap.
- Advanced fief caution: Ensure readiness to handle higher taxes and defense needs.
